One of the most spectacular natural sights in the Canadian Rockies is the turning of the Alpine Larches, from their summer green to their stunning golden hue.
The breathtaking transformation occurs every fall as the Alpine Larches prepare to lose their needles for winter. Typically, the golden larches are most vibrant from mid to late September. At the same time, deciduous trees like the Trembling Aspen are also turning to their fall colours. It’s a sight to behold and one that brings multitudes of visitors to the Canadian Rockies every year!
