Toby Creek Adventures (TCA) was founded in the winter of 1996, initially offering snowmobile tours on what is now the iconic Greywolf Golf Course at Panorama Mountain Resort. Within a few years, we relocated across the Toby Creek to the historic Paradise Mine site. We began using the original 1901 world-class wagon road to access the Alpine Paradise Mine and Basin for our snowmobile and ATV tours. Over time, we acquired most of the land from our base in the valley to Paradise Cabin and its upper mine shaft from the mining companies. We feel fortunate, as our property features many sought-after natural assets, including an impressive waterfall, a stunning larch forest, and an alpine cabin steeped in silver mining history — creating an unforgettable and exclusive experience for our guests, including privately groomed snowmobile trails in winter and no crowds in summer.
Our certified CMBGA guides and experienced staff are long-time local residents who bring unmatched knowledge and passion for the area. We have 10 full-time employees, and many of our seasonal guides and staff own and operate summer construction, landscaping, or tourism businesses and return each season to run our winter snowmobile and summer ATV operations. We value attracting and retaining key tourism talent in our region.
The main reason for our success is that we value guests. At TCA, our guests are at the heart of everything we do. Sharing our passion for our mountain playground is not just our job, it’s our purpose. We love what we do, feel fortunate to live and work in a big mountain playground, and love sharing our passion with our guests. When you become our guest, you become part of our family and the fun — whether for an hour, a day, or a multi-day tour.
TCA is an industry leader and a member of various professional industry organizations, including a founding organization of the Canadian Association of Motorized Backcountry Guides Association (CMBGA) and the original British Columbia Commercial Snowmobile Operators Association (BCCSOA). Additionally, TCA is an official Bombardier Recreation Products (BRP) Ski-Doo and Can-Am BRP Experiences tour operator. We are honoured to be chosen as one of the select Canadian tour providers to represent the notable Canadian manufacturer and its global BRP brands, Ski-Doo and Can-Am.
TCA is a long-standing, award-winning Columbia Valley success story that has forged strong partnerships with tourism organizations and accommodations in eastern British Columbia and Alberta. These partnerships include long-term relationships with Travel Columbia Valley and Banff & Lake Louise Tourism. While motorized tours are not permitted within our National Parks, our private property provides an ideal destination for Banff and Canmore guests seeking the quintessential Canadian summer and winter experiences.
We’re proud to partner with BRP Experiences, connecting you to 225+ unforgettable destinations across the world: from open waters to deep snow, desert trails to forest routes.
