We were doing a bit of earthmoving up at the cabin today. Look what the cat turned up. Those rocks are Galena, which is the primary ore that was mined in the Paradise Mine. .

Galena is a lead sulfide mineral. It is the world’s most important source of lead and a significant source of silver. Look closely you can see the silver glinting in the sun.
