Spring is amazing and Summer is spectacular, but the only word for Fall at Paradise Bowl is GLORIOUS.

One of the true spectacles of the Rockies is the month of September when the Larch trees turn a brilliant shimmering gold. There is nothing like it. If it’s not on you bucket list, it should be.

This is the time of year when all through the Canadian Rockies, locals and visitors make the pilgrimage to tree-line to see the turning of the larches. The morning air is usually cool but the days warm up and the views can be sharp and spectacular.

Our alpine cabin is perfectly located right at tree-line at Paradise.  It is surrounded by glades of larch trees. Our half-day and full-day ATV tours depart daily from our base at Panorama, BC and we climb a gently graded old mining road. You will be speechless at the majesty of the place at this time of year. On a full-day tour you will have plenty of time to relax and enjoy a BBQ lunch while you gaze at the view.

This is also a great time to view wildlife as the various creatures prepare for the coming winter.

This spectacle of nature only last a few weeks each year. The cooler night air and the approach of winter signals to the larch tree that it’s time. Over the space of a few weeks only, their needles turn a translucent shimmering gold colour. Then they fade and drop to the ground. When they are done they are done. The time is now.

Contact Us today and come and experience this incredible wonder of nature.  Hotel pick-up available at Canmore & Banff hotels.
