Fall Is A Spectacular Season Of Colours In The Canadian Rockies
One of the most incredible natural sights you will ever see is the turning of the Alpine Larches from their translucent summer green to an incredible golden hue. It’s a magnificent sight!
This breathtaking transformation occurs every fall as the Alpine Larches prepare to lose their needles for winter. Generally they are at their best from mid to late September. At the same time deciduous trees like the Trembling Aspen are also turning to fall colours. It’s a sight to behold and one that brings multitudes of visitors to the Canadian Rockies every year.
At Toby Creek Adventures, we love this time of year. All through the Fall we offer a full range of ATV tours well into October. This is a perfect way to experience the colours and to see the Golden Alpine Larches at 8000′ elevation. A 4WD ATV or Side-By-Side is the easiest way to travel to the high alpine to see the Larch trees. You will also visit the site of the historic Paradise Mine and enjoy a snack or full BBQ lunch at our alpine cabin.
Early snowfalls during the Fall season can create truly magical scenes such as this one at the Smith Falls.
We have all the gear to keep you warm as well as a snug cabin and fireplace with plenty of hot chocolate, snacks and, on the full-day tour, a BBQ lunch.
Our new 4WD Side-By-Side UTV’s are the perfect option for couples and families. Available as an upgrade option on all our tours. We also have a full fleet of Arctic Cat and Can-Am 4WD ATV’s available.
Don’t Delay! Don’t Miss Out! This natural spectacle only last for a few weeks each Fall season in September! It will be a whole year before it happens again.
